I thought it could be nice to have a thread recommending games that are on-sale to people. Consider sharing YouTube footage links and the discount amounts / prices too.

(I'll certainly continuing editing this later...)

Besides Pajama Sam Vol. 1 (and Vol. 2 to a lesser extent) of course...
Serious Sam First and Second Encounter -85% / .89 USD - sweet pure-action old-school fpses
Unreal Gold -70% / $2.99 (unless you already own it from when it was given away) - very atmospheric fps with good soundtrack
SiN Gold -75% / 2.49 - pretty good fps, less action than Serious Sam
Tomb Raider 1-3; Last Revelation + Chronicles; Angel of Darkness (I'm biased in favor of AoD b/c of nostalgia and fixes I applied recently) -75% / 2.49 - fun atmospheric third-person action-adventures
Redneck Rampage -66% / 3.39 - great goofy fps
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault -75% / 2.49 - great (though aged) ww2 fps
Gex -75% / 1.49 - fun but difficult (imo) platformer
Red Faction -75% / 2.49 - decent fps in an interesting setting with deformable terrain
Carmageddon 1 and 2; -50-60% (not fantastic deals but decent) - fun gory racing games where you try to squish people instead of race

Small suggestion, it might help if people said WHY they like a game. Saying "get x, it's awesome!" doesn't help anyone.
OK, I'll participate.

People, I suggest you buy games on sale.

(Did I do it right?)

True! I guess I don't care enough to write out big paragraphs though. And I guess there isn't much interest in this thread anyway which is fine.

It's not really in my budget, but I'm tempted by Shadows: Awakening.

I watched 2 different youtube reviews and one made me want to splurge and get it because it sounded awesome, and the other...made me feel like maybe I wouldn't like it at all. ;)

Ah well.

For anyone who would have bought that Wizardry title that GOG rejected and that was delayed at the last moment:

I recommend Elminage Gothic; it's basically a Japanese Wizardry spin-off, just without the Wizardry name. It also has a lot of content (I believe I played over 100 hours and didn't beat the final bonus dungeon because the combat was too difficult).

(There's also Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Serment - Contract with a Devil)
So there are over two thousand games on sale and at least 80% of those can be recommended. Some of those bundles are very nice.

I see two of the films are on sale too. Remember this shop sells those too?

I bought that game and have played it for about 5 hours. So far it's quite good. The characters and story and setting are a lot more interesting than I was expecting them to be; I'm quite enjoying getting caught up in the twisted intrigues within the game. Some of the voice actors are very good too. Overall, I'm very impressed.

Hard West is a steal at sale price. Cowboys and Xcom for the price of a game soundtrack.

Tower of Time is recommended. Want that game to sell well enough so their next game comes out day 1 on gog lol.

1954 Alcatraz and Randal's Monday. Good quality point and click adventures for the price if the themes interest you.

Not the best games, but good value for the genres.
Since I made a similar post on another thread, I´ll just throw it on here as well (copy paste):

"Ori and the Blind forest" is one of my favorite games, very easy to learn but somewhat challenging. Keep away if you don´t like dying and restarting, my first play had probably 300+ deaths. Freaking awsome art, visual and music!
I don´t buy expensive games but this one more than worth the sale price, even if you are not a platform gamer. Gamepad recomended (only compatible with XBOX controller but "joytokey" or similar can be used. Plays perfectly on Steam's Proton.

"Populous the Beginning". Old Bullfrog game that I first played on the PS1. It´s pretty much a RTS but different from all I played until today. Still plays great. Music is awsome and really adds to the style. Keep and eye on the Giveaway thread as it possible pops up there. "Ta-Ka", "Tsunama", "Padatanka" XD

"Spelunky HD". There is the original free version of this game on the website, Can't recomend enough for anyone who likes this type of gameplay, like DeadCells.
https://www.gog.com/game/spelunky

"Broforce" I waste quite a bit of money on arcade machines to play Metal slug. This isn't a exact copy but the feeling is still there, better played with a friend. The destructible ground makes up some interesting plays possible.

Notable mentions: Into the Breach, Hollow Knight (only played a few hours), Dungeon keeper (only a few hours as well) and the obvious Trine.

Edit: Almost forgot "Limbo", slow paced but great ambience. Steam has a native Linux version.

Sword of the Stars: The PIt is a rogue-like with a progression system that lets you craft more items the more you play, you learn recipes that might be useful in future runs. Really cheap as well.

Weird, I thought the discounts would stay the same even after the flash sales.
Seems like I missed my chance to as well. :)

Edit: Guess I missed the following part :P
After the flash deal discount ends, these games will remain on sale at a lower discount

Capitalism 2, it's exactly what it sounds like. It's beautiful.
