How about you fix those damn missing library icons you lazy bunch?! This is unbelievable!
And now i cant even unhide games anymore. What kind of sub-amateurs are responsible for developing galaxy??

Can you make games previewable on mouse hover? Steam Client already has that.
When is Galaxy going to integrate the forum section directly into the game's homepage. I hate pressing the forum option only ggor a chrome window to pop up for it. The only workaround i've had is to go to the store page of a game and then clicking on the forum section to get there in the client itself.

Using Galaxy to browse anything else than the absolute necessary minimum (your games library, for example) might actually not at all be a good idea:

Galaxy 2 seems to be CEF based and (as was to be expected) GOG is probably behind in updating the cef library version most of the time, or in other words the quality is just like the rest of galaxy - a bug ridden unmaintained mess. So browsing the forum and following links to external untrusted content could lead to endangering your systems security when using galaxy's outdated chromium component.

For example have a look at this forum thread in which a developer confirms that they are way behind and indirectly confirms that there is no roadmap at hand, when they will update it.

As a result, using your own browser, which you can keep up to date easily is probably the better way to browse these forums.

If you click on the forum link present in a game page from the store, it will be opened directly from Galaxy.
Then you can bookmark it, also you can go back to the main forums list using the index on the top of the page.
If you bookmark the "Community" page, then you'll have always ready all the forums you want, directly from Galaxy.

Every link present in those pages that doesn't point to a gog domain will anyway open the external browser...
Steam, Ubisoft or Origin integrations do not work properly. Also; we need new integrations such as Amazon Prime.
Here I freaking go downloading full BG3 game just to get the latest patch .... this is absolute rubbish
Do GOG even support their stupid launcher anymore? Feels like it's falling apart while they ignore it and us.

Yes please, let's talk.

- the beta has been going on for an eternity and was forced onto users. I personally did not opt to install the beta but I got it anyway. Years ago.
- the game overlay only covers a small section of the screen when using high resolution displays. No obvious improvements in the 5, 6 or 7 years since it got patched in with the launch of The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt. Wikipedia tells me it's been 8 years.
- game icons have been missing on so many games for several months now. No real solution yet.
- re-tagging games using GOG Galaxy does not work. The only way to remove or switch tags is through the web-version.
- custom tags no longer visible in the client (again, web is the solution)
- filtering games based on tags is a mess and switch back and forth between different tags and / or OS filters turn the results into a mess. No good.
- IMO, look and feel of the app is pretty good and core functions like game-time-tracking and achievements work well enough in almost all cases. That's a plus and the reason why I still use Galaxy almost exclusively for my gaming needs.
- progress on the client is too slow. I'm having a hard time recommending the platform to people with so many ongoing issues.
- GOG Galaxy is significantly slower to use than the website on an up-to-date browser.
- GOG is a good company with good people behind it. Please put in the resources and to turn your vision into reality.

Main issue I have with the GOG client, even the recent beta is, it is sooooo slooooow.
I have about 4k games on steam, about 1k on GOG, a few on Epic and Origin and the startup as well as searching for a game takes FOREVER. Most of the time it just seems that the client crashed or something.

does beta allow us to change the overlay interface key bindings ?
like other platforms allow for example Steam, UBI, EA I have it set to use Alt + Enter

be great is I could change GOG from shift + Tab to something elese majority of games use shift and tab for example cyberpunk 2077 uses shift for running and tab for scanning and combat

so and I like using shift for running and tab for scanning so your interface binding makes game unplayable for me.

honestly why is GOG Client only client does not allow for key binding for in game interface controlls like screenshot, chat and so forth ?

also I am not only one that is having issues with this I was searching for way to fix this but only ran across about a dozen complaints about this on your community forums going back to to past 2016

the inability to change these bindings for the GOG client interface is bad it makes games unplayable.

also disabling the overlay is not real answer to the issue which is that GOG is only client software that does not allow people rebind these keys.

Hey everyone, I have a question. I got an external SSD for Christmas (Happy Holidays everyone) specifically for backing up. I'm navigating through Galaxy and I don't see an option to download backup installers to a different location. Does this mean I have to download my games through a browser to save them in a different location? Meaning download the offline installers to E:\ and then install them on C:\. I know Steam has the option to install games in a different location. I'm on 2.0.73.27 Beta.

Nevermind, I figured it out awhile back.

Hey Folks :)

This might be a dumb question, but i couldn’t find an answer to this:
I am a Mac user, and otherwise i only play Console. I recently made an GOG account and am very happy, that i now can play oldschool Games like Point & Click adventures and Stuff.

QUESTION:
Can I buy a “Windows” game like Star Trek Hidden Evil (it’s an old one) and play it via MacBook M1 ??
Does this GOG Launcher App work as an emulator?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Most likely not out of the box. macOS does no longer execute 32bit binaries and old titles usually don't come with the 64bit binaries that macOS requires (exceptions for example are Beamdog's remasters of classic Black Isle titles). Also most titles on GOG are not macOS compatible entirely (but quite a few of them are). Look for platform-compatibility and recommended specs on the game's page.

No. Not yet anyway. I play on macOS myself and have done so for 10 years. It's still a bit of a pain but it seems to be getting better little by little.

You may want to check out Parallels for gaming.
Is there a way to backup all installed games all at the same time? I am going to reinstall my OS and I don't feel like reinstalling every GOG game I have installed now one by one.
