I am thinking about purchasing this star wars game on my Windows 8 laptop. But I have read too many horror stories about the digital version not working properly and the gog version getting bad reviews due to crashes and black screen.

How was your experience on playing this game on Windows 8 ?

It would be best not to buy it.

Quite a few good old games don't work on Windows 8 such as Aquanox and Bloodrayne. Both of them were bought and paid for by me and I could never get to play them despite the requirements stating that they can be played on Windows 8. I own them but can't play them. sad

Unless someone gifts you the game, it may not be a good idea to buy it. Worst case scenario- you buy it and then it does not work. would be a waste of money.

I assume you contacted Support and they weren't able to help?

You may want to ask here, as this is the forum, and presumably, people there are playing it. On the general forum, not everyone may have the game.

I have had no problems whatsoever running Bloodrayne on Windows 8(.1) .
